Notes:
  1. Enter the valve end connection size, pressure class, operating pressure, safety factor, and operating temperature for torque calculations.
  2. The above torque values are new valve torque values.
  3. Soaking effects and/or particle matter in the valve may cause an increase in the torque.
  4. For power operation, the standard safety factor for 2 in. - 12 in. valves is 1.25 or customer specified safety factor, whichever is larger.
  5. Actuator selection should be made based on customer experience and appropriate service factors.
  6. All Torque Values are in inch-pounds (in-lbs).
  7. The appropriate temperature to use for sizing power actuators is the minimum fluid temperature.
