Cameron’s proud heritage of growth, service and employee opportunity starts with the merging of two industry legacies–Cooper Industries (est. 1833) and Cameron Iron Works (est. 1920). The 1989 merger brought together the renowned experience, tradition and excellence of both companies. In 1995, Cooper Cameron became a publicly traded company, and in 2006 was renamed to Cameron International Corporation.
