Rig Count
Guiberson and AESC have taken the time to study the history of the numbers, recalculated the true numbers with input from Spears & Associates, an industry leader in analysis, and now are committed to refocus the reporting such that the industry and all of its watchers can rely on the published figures.
It should be noted that a reduction of approximately 1000 rigs was made between June and July of 2001. This was made during the period of time that Spears and Associates had taken on the Well Service Rig Count and had done an extensive survey to determine the accuracy of the data. This adjustment has been carried forward from that point in time.
The number of regions for the future will be 8 and Guiberson, along with AESC, will strive to maintain maximum clarity by using this new and larger group of regions.
