Cameron Flow Control has announced the development of a new compact retrievable-insert choke which features smaller size, lighter weight and total vertical access – with no compromise in performance. The design features a unique dog and window connector for installation and retrieval. It requires no vertical access and can be more centrally placed allowing the size and weight of the Christmas tree and manifold to be greatly reduced. Additional features include configuration for all oilfield applications, 3K or 5K hydraulic operation and equal Cv to Cameron's highest capacity retrievable-insert subsea choke.

Cameron's Flow Control Division Aquires MaxTorque
On June 15, 2009, Cameron acquired the MaxTorque line of products and services. The business will now be offered through Cameron’s Flow Control division, part of the company’s Drilling & Production Systems group.
MaxTorque designs, manufactures, markets, and sells high performance quarter-turn and multi-turn gear operators for motorized and manual applications, subsea operators, Navy specific operators, overrides, and engineered solutions. The company has a manufacturing plant in Limerick, Maine that will continue to develop, sell, and service these products.
"The acquisition of MaxTorque is an excellent complement to the products and services offered by the Flow Control division," said Britt Schmidt, Flow Control president. "We are excited about the opportunities that the addition of Maxtorque provides to Cameron."

Flow Control Chengdu, China Actuator and Control Center
On April 3, 2009, Flow Control Chengdu, China ACC celebrated its grand opening. Management and technical representatives were available for support and questions of the Chendu ACC facility's product offerings. The grand opening had a large turnout of customers reporting positive feedback on Flow Control's new facility. Products to be offered currently at this location are the Ledeen Gas over Oil, Direct Gas, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Actuators, the Ledeen Hydraulic Self Contained Control Unit, and the new Safemaster Electronic Line-Break. Cameron's Flow Control Division Acquires DYNATORQUE
The Flow Control division of Cameron announced on July 22, 2008, the acquisition of DYNATORQUE, line of products and services from Hines Corporation. DYNATORQUE designs, manufactures, markets and sells manual gear operators, overrides, components, accessories, and specialty products, including mechanical partial stroke test devices, for use with valves, actuators, and dampers.
