HSE Management Review

A management review of the HSE process is conducted annually and is intended to provide a forum for open discussion and improvement of the Drilling and Production Systems HSE Management System. The review also provides management with a vehicle for making any necessary changes toward achieving the HSE vision - that we can perform our duties in such a way that no one gets hurt and nothing gets harmed.

Minimal requirements for the management review include consideration of the following:

  • The suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the health, safety and environmental policy
  • The suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the current HSE objectives and targets, and the organization's current status against these objectives
  • The overall suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the HSE Management System
  • The status of corrective and preventive actions
  • The results of any HSE management system audits conducted since the last management review
  • Setting or updating HSE objectives and targets for the coming period
  • The suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of training efforts
  • The results of any action items from the previous management review meeting
  • The results of tests or utilization of emergency preparedness and response procedures
  • Any changes or proposed changes to operational controls
  • Waste minimization efforts
  • The adequacy of risk assessments and environmental aspects scoring
  • Current levels of HSE risk and the effectiveness of existing control measures
  • The effectiveness of the hazard and incident reporting process
  • Data relating to accidents and incidents that have occurred since the last management review
