CALDON® LEFM® 220C/220Ci Ultrasonic Meter

The economic LEFM 220 series flow meters have two ultrasonic paths. The LEFM 220C consists of a meter body and a remotely mounted signal processing transmitter. The LEFM 220Ci has a compact transmitter enclosure that can be integrally or remotely mounted to the meter body. Within the spool piece are two (2) pairs of fully integrated, high performance, wetted ultrasonic transducers forming two chordal paths. These paths cross the flow stream at a 45o angle so that there is a difference in the transit time of the ultrasonic signals, depending on whether the sound pulse is traveling with or against the direction of flow. The difference in transit times is measured along each path and used to determine the volumetric flow rate. The transducers in the spool can be replaced without depressurizing the process

The two chordal path design of the LEFM 220 series ultrasonic flow meters provide cost effective, yet highly stable and reliable performance and are therefore ideal for allocation/check metering and line balance/leak detection applications.
